Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Garo fano, Neva Whitted’s sister and house guest, and Neva and Mr. and Mrs. Otis McCall (Neva’s Daughter) and Elaine McCall and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mc Call (Neva’s grandchildren) have been roaming these moun tains visiting the Keowee-Lake Toxawav project, Gatlinburg and the lost Sea of Sweetwater, Tennessee. Neva told this co pilot, Mary Jo, that she had never seen anything quite as beautiful as the underwater lake. Walter McCall has been home on leave from the Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. George Blair were dinner guests of Mrs. Alva Griffin Recently. Mr. and Mrs. Judson Byers, of Midland, Michigan and sons, I.ee Charles and David are visiting Mrs. Byer’s Parents, the T. Don Batsons. David recently gradu ated from Kalamazoo College. .A Phi Beta Kappa with honors jin his major of History, he enters the university of Chicago Graduate School in September. Guests of the Erik Hansens from July 6th to the 14th were Erik’s sister and her husband. Mr. and Mrs. E. Howard Carl son. of North Miami Beach. Fla.: his brother and wife. Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Hansen, who have spent the past several months in Santurce, Puerto Rico; a nephew, Carl Hansen, of Orlando, Fla.; and two grand nieces. Miss Carmen Mendoza, Colombia, South America, and Miss Antje Moller of Kiel. Ger many. Miss Antje is 16 years old and earned her expenses to make this trip to visit her American cousins. Miss Carmen is visiting in the states with her. grandparents, the Harold Han sens. The Hensens took their guests on many sight seeing trips and picnics that included the Cradle of Forestry, Blue Kidge Parkway, the NASA Stadan Station. Lake Toxaway Falls and Lake Toxaway and shopping in Brevard. Denny and Carol Hansen hosted a steak cookout for the whole family on Thursday evening at the foot of Puncheon Camp mountain. An outstanding event in their visit was the electrical storm on Tuesday evening i when the Hansen home at the { end of Whitewater sustained a I' direct hit of lightning that did much damage to the electrical system and blew a hole in their water line letting most of the two thousand gallon reservoir drain into the creek. Needless to say that most of Wednesday was spent in making hasty re pairs. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Erik D. Hansen were Mr. and Mrs. Larry L. Dickens of Greenville, S. C., and Virgil Johnson, of Anniston, Ala. to work.
